Early Career Research Program

The Early Career Research program provides an annual funding opportunity for researchers in universities and Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories. This program supports the individual research programs of outstanding scientists early in their careers and stimulates research careers in the disciplines supported by the DOE Office of Science. Must be an untenured, tenure-track assistant or associate professor at a U.S. academic institution or a full-time employee at a DOE National Laboratory who received a Ph.D. within the past 12 years. Research topics are required to fall within the scope of one of the Office of Science’s eight major program areas. See the main website for full requirements.
