Funding for Accelerated, Inclusive Research (FAIR)

Funding for Accelerated, Inclusive Research (FAIR) aims to build research capacity, infrastructure, and expertise at institutions historically underrepresented in the Office of Science portfolio, including minority serving institutions (MSIs) and emerging research institutions (ERIs). FAIR increases research capacity and supports faculty, as well as supporting mutually beneficial relationships between MSIs and ERIs with partnering institutions to perform basic research in fields supported by the Office of Science. Non-R1 minority serving institutions

Minority Serving Institution (MSI)

A term used to describe colleges and universities that primarily enroll and serve minority populations. These groups can include African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Asian Americans.
