NREL Postdoctoral Program

The NREL Postdoctoral Program embeds recent Ph.D. graduates with NREL mentors in the lab to conduct advanced research, publish their results, and provide a pathway to careers in scientific innovation. Our postdoctoral researcher appointments are a maximum of 3 years. The assignments are reviewed and extended each year based on program needs, funding availability and performance. During this time, postdoctoral researchers work under the supervision of a senior scholar or a department mentor with access to world-class laboratory equipment.
