Nitrogen Removal, Carbon Sequestration, and Greenhouse Gas Fluxes at the River-Land-Ocean Interface

This Early Career Award project aims to integrate coastal wetland processes into the Energy Exascale Earth System Model with a focus on vegetation, biogeochemistry, and hydrology of ecosystems affected by tides. Long-term goals include simulating coastal wetland carbon and nitrogen cycle responses to sea level rise, changes in river flows, and changing climate conditions.
