Co-design Center for Quantum Advantage Quantum Computing Summer School
The Co-design Center for Quantum Advantage (C2QA) Quantum Computing Summer School is a six-week tutorial program introducing college students to the exciting world of quantum information science.
Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. institution AND have completed at least one semester as an undergraduate (at the time of application). Participants must have previously completed courses in computer science, integral calculus, and introductory physics. Minimum GPA of 3.0.

High School Research Program (HSRP)
The High School Research Program (HSRP) is a highly competitive six-week educational program for students interested in pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) studies.
Recommended for students that have completed 11th grade. Due to Brookhaven National Laboratory safety regulations, students under the age of 18 may not be allowed to perform certain tasks.

Internship
Science Communication Internship
Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Media & Communications Office offers internships for undergraduate and graduate students interested in science writing and communication. In general, the position is full-time, on-site at Brookhaven Lab, but we may consider a part-time and/or virtual intern under certain circumstances. Either way, we promise it will be a rewarding experience!
Applicants are eligible for up to a year after graduation.

STEM-Prep Summer Institute
STEM-Prep Summer Institute is a four-week program to introduce high school students from traditionally underrepresented and underserved communities to the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. The STEM Prep Summer Institute is a commuter program.
9th grade students from underrepresented (such as, American Indian/Alaska Native, Black/African American, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander or LatinX) minorities in science.

WDTS Outreach Mini-Semester Program
The WDTS Outreach Mini-Semester program provides undergraduate STEM students an exciting opportunity to interact with world-renowned scientists, engineers and research in a real-world setting at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The one week program over the winter break introduces traditionally underrepresented students in STEM fields to the internship and research opportunities available at BNL and the larger DOE community.
Currently enrolled in a full-time college or university. Available for the entire program from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Minimum GPA of 3.0.

WDTS RENEW Fermilab and Brookhaven Lab Summer School Exchange Program
The Fermilab and Brookhaven Summer School Exchange Program (FBSEP) is a unique opportunity for undergraduate freshmen majoring in STEM fields to participate in a summer school experience at both Fermilab and Brookhaven National Laboratory. Students will spend 3 weeks at each laboratory as a cohort with full group meetings at the midpoint and end of the program. The summer school will provide an introduction to particle physics, environmental and climate science, artificial intelligence, and quantum science. Students will learn about each topic as it relates to the cutting-edge research being conducted at each national lab while exploring the abundance of career opportunities available.
Enrolled full-time in a 2-year or 4-year accredited institution. You must be 18 years or older to participate. STEM Major.
