Biogeochemical Cycling at the Urban Interface
This project seeks to understand the role of plant
evapotranspiration
(a plant’s water loss that happens from evaporation and transpiration) and soil moisture on urban
microclimates.
The project integrates physical measurements with point-scale modeling to understand the effectiveness of the DOE’s
Energy Exascale Earth System Model’
s land model on urban trees and forest patches.
